HOUSE BULLOCK 50 Oxford Road William Otis Bullock, an American, was already 50 years old when he built the house in 1924 and was to enjoy it until his death in 1936. Although relatively small it has a grand and formal design with strong classical elements, designed for entertaining. The architects Burton and Sinclair, honouring its commanding character, placed it facing up Oxford Road. During World War II the house was owned by G F Petousis who hosted the Greek Crown Prince and his wife Princess Frederika, a favourite of Prime Minister General Smuts.
