Celebrating History at the 2nd Annual EMBO Event

The City of Johannesburg’s Department of Community Development, under the leadership of MMC Councillor Lubabalo Cecil Magwentshu, proudly presents the 2nd Annual EMBO. This prestigious event, dedicated to remembering and re-membering our essence, commemorates the life and times of Prof. Mangaliso Robert Sobukwe, a pivotal figure in African history.

A Gathering of Minds and Hearts

The atmosphere was electrifying as schools and community members came together in a heated, informative, and engaging discussion. Learners passionately debated innovative ways to preserve our rich history while creating job opportunities for the unemployed. One poignant comment that resonated with everyone was, “Don’t let today’s vandalism be tomorrow’s shame.” This powerful message underscores the importance of safeguarding our cultural heritage for future generations.
