LILIAN NGOYI HOUSE Anti-apartheid activist Lilian Ngoyi endured a series of banning orders, dying two weeks before the last one was to expire in 1980. While under house arrest, she sewed clothing for the ANC WomenÕs League and used disguises to visit family and friends. She co-led the 1956 WomenÕs anti-pass march to Pretoria and became the first woman member of the ANC National Executive.
