HOUSE PENTZ 107 6th Avenue, Mellville Designed by the draughtsman FW Rhrs in 1904 for Cornelius Pentz, a butcher in Juta Street in early Johannesburg. The layout of the house and its finishes are still intact. Its original access was from Rustenburg Road, an important wagon route to the mining town. Known colloquially as ÒOom Paul se KopÓ, the rocky promontory was close to the spot where President Kruger was said to have ÒoutspannedÓ during his travels.
