GELDENHUYS FARM HOUSE The homestead of Frans & Judith Geldenhuys was designed by JH Kraaienbrink, built in 1904 and formed part of the Geldenhuys Farm, Braamfontein. The house stands high on a plinth of hammer-dressed stone with spacious rooms that lead off the central passage onto wide verandas with decorative cast-iron balustrade. A Victorian turret and air vents break up the roof expanse. In 1933 thirteen hectares of the familyÕs farm were donated to the City of Johannesburg for parks and recreation & in 1951 it became the club house for Marks Park Sports Club.
