FIRST POST OFFICE IN SOWETO 44 Mooki Street This was a post office from 1932 when Orlando East was founded, until 1937 when the present custom-built post office arose across the road. For generations, the memory of the first post office has been etched in the memory of local residents, and is said to be the first house to have electricity installed. The owner was James Nkosi, and his wife Rachel Dikeledi was a midwife who delivered many babies in this house.
