A Brief History

The great wall of Eldos has brought new hope, dignity and creative energy to a once derelict wasteland in Eldorado Park. Reclaiming a corridor of public space managed through community efforts, the site is lined on both sides with a series of vibrant artworks.

Murals on walls in Eldorado Park.

These series of mural artworks are particularly special because they are fully community owned and implemented.

The mural artworks feature local personalities and achievers who have risen from the area, including Don Mattera, Liesel Laurie and Bianca Le Grange. These are painted landscapes as well as social messaging promoting recycling and care for the environment.
